About Agência Amigus
Agência Amigus is a social media agency founded on 13 January 2025 by Luísa Jacinto, in Portugal's Oeste region. It works with translation and localisation companies and with healthcare clinics.
My story
Social media never sleeps; luckily, neither does my curiosity.
When I finished my degree in Communication and Media, I wrote that I hoped ten-year-old Luísa, if she passed me in the street, would say “when I grow up, I want to be like her”. Amigus is that curiosity turning into something real.
Before Amigus, I was a project manager at a Portuguese translation company. That's where I got to know the industry from the inside: the deadlines, the translators, the clients and everything that happens before a translation is delivered.
At the same time, I was already managing social media for a few businesses. One night, an idea came to me and wouldn't let go: take the next step and build a brand to work with my clients more professionally. In January 2025, Amigus was born.
Today I work with two sectors: translation, which I know from the inside, and healthcare, which I love. When I'm not thinking about social media, I'm reading books with fairies and dragons. I believe digital is the new kingdom where stories are built, and that every business deserves to have its story well told.
Why “Amigus”
Amigus comes from “amigos”, Portuguese for “friends”. I wanted to help business owners with digital the way a friend would: up close, with trust and without making it complicated. In the end, it came down to Amigus or Together. The one that said more about us won.
